Having issues with Tessa Hunt and the Warrior Tomb ?

Every now and then a game lands in the Arcade that’s just a bit different. It doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel, but it definitely throws in a few strange ideas that make you stop and think, “What on earth is going on here?” Tessa Hunt and the Warrior Tomb is one of those games. It’s due for release on the 23rd of October 2025, and I’ve been giving it a run in demo on the Arcade — and honestly, I’m really into it.

At first glance it looks like your typical five-reel slot setup, simple and familiar. You’ve got your standard spins, the option to speed things up with a rabbit-fast mode, and of course autoplay if you’re outside the UK. But what sets this one apart is how it handles its bonus buys. You don’t just have one or two — you’ve got four, and one of them is this weirdly unpredictable “special offer” that changes every time you open the menu. Sometimes it’s a good deal, sometimes it’s absolutely terrible, and you’re left wondering if the game’s having a laugh with you.

When I first tried it, the special offer was actually more expensive than the regular buy, which made no sense at all. But then I realised what the developers were going for. It’s a bit like a mystery pick — you take the plunge, and next time it might flip the other way and be an absolute steal. It’s unpredictable, but that’s kind of what makes it fun.

The regular bonus buys come in three levels of volatility — twenty-five spins with a two-times multiplier, ten with a five, or five with a ten. Go for the high-volatility option and you’re in for a wild ride. I took the five-spin ten-times option, and it hit hard. The retrigger alone dropped me about $150, which is ridiculous considering it was just from a single spin. It’s the kind of moment that makes you grin at your screen like an idiot because you know you’ve hit something special.

Now, here’s the part that really got me — the gamble wheel. When you finish your bonus, the game asks if you’d like to risk the lot, and of course, curiosity got the better of me. It’s a big, bright wheel full of multipliers and blanks, and it’s one of those features that makes your heart beat just that little bit faster. You can take a small win from the base game and push it, chasing your way up through multipliers until you hit something huge. Or you can lose the lot in a blink. It’s a total throwback to old-school fruit machine gamble ladders, just reimagined for 2025.

The overall feel of the game is slick and surprisingly immersive. The animations are sharp, the bonus rounds hit with weight, and the sound design actually adds to the tension when you’re on that gamble wheel. The theme itself — tombs, adventure, relics — it’s all familiar territory, but it’s done with enough polish that it doesn’t feel recycled.

That said, this is definitely a high-volatility slot. If you’re someone who wants a steady stream of small wins, this isn’t your game. But if you love the thrill of high risk, big multiplier potential, and a bonus system that keeps you guessing, you’ll have a great time with Tessa Hunt and the Warrior Tomb.

I came away from my demo session thinking this could be one of those under-the-radar releases that ends up building a loyal following. It’s bold, it’s unpredictable, and it rewards the players who like to push their luck just a bit too far.
