🎣 Big Bass Halloween 3 – Review

By 10pGamer | Released: 15th October 2025 | Provider: Pragmatic Play

Big Bass is back… and this time, it’s spooky. Big Bass Halloween 3 splashed its way onto UK slots on the 15th of October, bringing pumpkins, fishermen, and plenty of dead spins with it. I jumped in late to the party — and I’ll be honest — I’ve never been a Big Bass fan. In fact, I’m firmly in the hate camp. But fair’s fair, I gave this one a go inside the 10p Gamer Arcade, and here’s what I found.

Straight off the bat, I’ll give credit where it’s due. When you land scatters above the bottom row, the reels respin — just like in Big Bass Splash. It’s a small touch, but one of the better elements in the series.

The probability of triggering the bonus is around 1 in 113, which is surprisingly generous. Add in the Ante Bet feature (which boosts your odds slightly — though Pragmatic never tells us how much), and you’ll probably see a bonus roughly every 1 in 50 or 60 spins. Whether that’s worth the extra 50% bet cost is still up for debate.

🧙‍♀️ Bonus Features

You can’t buy bonuses in the UK, but in the 10p Gamer Arcade you can test them freely — and I did just that.

  • Standard Free Spins: Costs £30 (based on a 30p base bet) and gives you 15 free spins, which is more generous than usual. The setup looks nice, with spooky visuals and two fishermen — one for the top trail, one for the bottom. Collect four of either to level up and earn 10 extra spins with a 2x multiplier.
  • Super Free Spins: A ridiculous £90 for the same 30p stake. You can’t spin into this bonus either, which is criminal. The only difference? The progress trail is shortened by one — meaning it’s slightly easier to level up. That’s it.

Sadly, both bonuses play exactly like you’d expect from a Big Bass title: a handful of dead spins and very little to show for it. My £30 buy returned £8.50, and my £90 “super” feature gave back just £31. Pretty grim.

🎃 Graphics & Theme

Visually, it’s not bad. The Halloween theme looks great — glowing icons, eerie music, and a dark, fun twist on the Big Bass style. The animations during free spins are well done, and the extra touches fit the spooky season nicely.

But aesthetics can only take a game so far. When the base and bonus play feel lifeless, even the best visuals can’t save it.

💀 Verdict

I really wanted to like Big Bass Halloween 3, especially after enjoying Halloween 2 — but this one just doesn’t do it for me. The super feature is overpriced, the base game is repetitive, and the returns are brutal.

If you’re a Big Bass diehard, you might find some charm in the theme. But for most players, it’s another frustrating entry from Pragmatic Play.

🧡 10pGamer Final Score:

3/10 – More Trick Than Treat

Great visuals wasted on weak gameplay.
