Reel King Riches is Blueprint Gaming’s latest slot release, and while it’s not available at every casino just yet, I couldn’t resist getting a sneak peek for the 10p Gamer Arcade. If you’re from the UK, the name Reel King will probably ring some bells – it’s a proper old-school favourite that’s been around for years. This new version takes the classic charm and adds modern twists, exciting features, and some serious base game activity.
Whether you’re a nostalgic player or just someone who likes a busy slot, Reel King Riches has a lot going on.
🧠 Gameplay Breakdown
Let’s dive into the mechanics. The game still features those classic Reel King characters, but now they come packed with mini-features. It’s very much a collector-style slot, similar in feel to Blueprint’s other titles like King Kong Cash or The Goonies. You’re aiming to land cash symbols on the reels and get a “collect” character to sweep them up for prizes. Sometimes you get boosters that ramp up the symbols or multiply the win.

Power Play in Reel King Riches is locked by default and has to be earned through gameplay. Once activated, it gives you a unique version of the reels – no normal symbols, just pure cash, jackpot, bonus, and collector symbols. It’s all about landing that collect symbol to trigger your win.
In demo mode, I had a £1 go that landed me a bonus round. The bonus mechanic here is similar to Big Bass-style progressions – collect enough collector symbols and you unlock extra spins and multipliers. I ended up with a 4x multiplier and four more spins, which added up to a 32x win. Not huge, but definitely not bad.
🔁 Base Game Brilliance
This is where Reel King Riches really shines.
The base game is super active – tons of little features happening all the time. There’s a lot of back-to-back triggering of side features, collectors, and small wins. In one spin session, I landed a £36 win on a 20p stake, just from base game cash symbols being doubled by collectors on both sides.
The Royal Flush feature dumps a bunch of juicy symbols on screen, often leading to tidy payouts. I even triggered the Jackpot King (not available on the demo version but present in the full game).
Blueprint’s decision to not allow bonus buys means you’ll need to land it naturally, but that’s fair enough considering how frequent some of these triggers are. And if you’re outside the UK, you’ll get access to the turbo spins, which are insanely fast – almost Hacksaw-style super turbo. In the UK, sadly, those are disabled due to the usual Gambling Commission reasons.

One of the highlights is the King Spins bonus, triggered by filling the screen gold, just like the classic. This gives you one of a selection of features like:

The base game alone is busy enough to keep you glued, and when the bonus rounds drop, there’s decent potential even on small stakes.
