Evolution Gaming’s latest live casino release, Marble Race, launched on April 9th, 2025, marking their third game show of the year. Following the underwhelming releases of Race Track and War, this new offering unfortunately continues the trend of disappointment.
The core concept revolves around six coloured marbles racing through a pinball-style machine, with players tasked to predict the first and second-place finishers. However, the game’s potential is severely hampered by an overly complex interface and a modest maximum win potential of just 27x.

The most glaring issue lies in the game’s limited betting options. Despite having six marbles in play, players can only wager on the first two positions. This design choice feels particularly restrictive given the natural opportunity to expand betting options to include predictions for third through sixth place finishers. The ability to predict the complete finishing order could have transformed the game’s appeal and significantly boosted its maximum win potential.
That said, the production value deserves recognition. The studio design is visually impressive, and the mechanical aspects of the marble race track demonstrate excellent design. The flow and movement of the marbles create genuinely entertaining moments during each race, making the actual gameplay engaging to watch.

However, these positive elements can’t fully compensate for what feels like an incomplete gaming experience from Evolution. Marble Race appears to have been released before reaching its full potential, leaving players to wonder what could have been with a more comprehensive betting structure.

Marble Race Live – Evolution Gaming (Game Details)
Marble Race is a live casino game featuring six coloured marbles racing down a custom-designed track. The game operates with a live host who initiates each race after the betting period concludes.
Game Structure
Each round consists of a betting phase followed by the race itself. During the betting phase, players can place wagers on two different types of outcomes:
1st Place Bets
- Single marble selection for first position
- Payout varies based on the selected marble
- Winning occurs when chosen marble crosses finish line first
1st & 2nd Place Bets (Compound)
- Requires predicting exact order of first and second place finishers
- Higher payout potential due to increased difficulty
- Both marbles must finish in specified positions to win
Race Mechanics
The track features multiple obstacles and pathways that marbles traverse during their descent. Starting positions are randomized before each race begins. The race concludes when at least two marbles have crossed the finish line, determining winners for both betting types.
Results Processing
The game system automatically tracks marble positions and processes payouts based on:
- First marble to cross finish line (for 1st Place bets)
- First two marbles in correct order (for 1st & 2nd Place bets)
Game Interface
The betting interface displays two distinct grids:
- Regular grid for single position bets
- Compound grid showing color combinations for 1st & 2nd place predictions
The race view provides clear visibility of the entire track, with results displayed prominently after each race concludes.
