Visually, Gates of Olympus leans hard into the mythological theme. The backdrop shows floating columns, glowing clouds, and a sky that looks permanently moments away from a thunderstorm. Zeus sits above the reels, looking mildly disappointed in your betting decisions.

The base game runs on a tumble system. Wins cause symbols to explode and new ones fall into place from above. This continues until no new wins form. There are no paylines. Instead, you need eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels.
Multipliers appear during tumbles and range from 2x up to 500x. They stack and apply to the total win of that tumble sequence. This is where the game can suddenly wake up and start printing numbers. It can also stubbornly refuse to do so. Zeus is generous, but only when he feels like it.
You will notice this slot needs a good balance to play. You can hit a run of dead spins, or miniscule wins. However when Zeus plays nicely, he may just bless the reels with a juicy multiplier. You can suddenly win a chunky block of cheese. Just don’t expect it to save you.

The multi will then multiply the win and bank for the remaining spins.
It’s common for Gates of Olympus to give lots of small multis, the last 3 spins is where the real cheese builds. Banked multis can turn even modest hits into large wins. You will know if you are in max territory if large multis hit constantly and early.
