Hacksaw Gaming’s Le Cowboy is the next wild ride in their now-famous “Le” series — following the footsteps of Le Bandit, Le Pharaoh and Le Zeus, this time strapping our mischievous raccoon hero into a Stetson and throwing him straight into the dust and danger of the Wild West. The game officially launches on November 6th 2025, but it’s already spinning away in the 10p Gamer Arcade — and if you’re a fan of Hacksaw’s chaotic energy, this one feels right at home.
The first thing you notice is how familiar yet fresh it feels. It’s still a Hacksaw slot through and through — sharp, colourful, and absolutely brutal when it wants to be. The setup runs on a 6×5 grid with a cluster-pay mechanic, meaning wins come from groups of matching symbols rather than rigid paylines. It looks simple on the surface, but as always with Hacksaw, there’s far more lurking underneath.
What really sets Le Cowboy apart is the new revolver mechanic. Every time a wild symbol lands as part of a win, it transforms into its own tiny revolver loaded with bullets — each one representing a coin that can fire onto other positions and boost their values. It’s slick, fast, and has that unpredictable Hacksaw flair that can turn an average spin into something brilliant in seconds.
Then there’s the gamble system, which is one of the most entertaining (and dangerous) parts of the game. After triggering a bonus, you’re given the option to gamble for a higher tier — starting from a regular bonus, moving up to a super, and finally the epic version if you’re lucky enough. As I discovered in the demo arcade, that gamble can make or break you in an instant. You might land the super feature with ease, or walk away with a ghastly little 20× prize for your trouble. On one attempt I hit the one-in-eight shot that leads to the epic bonus — and when it lands, it really does feel special.

It’s busy, noisy, and beautifully chaotic. The hits come thick and fast, and when those coins stack just right, the payouts can be wild. On a 10p stake, I managed a round worth around £75 — not bad at all for a five-scatter style bonus that drops everything in your favour.
But Hacksaw being Hacksaw, it isn’t all sunshine and gold coins. The same gamble feature that got me that epic round also dished out a £4.70 return from a £25 buy not long after. That’s the double-edged charm of this studio — you can’t have the highs without the lows. It’s a studio that thrives on tension, and Le Cowboy is no exception. It teases you with the big stuff but makes you work — or pay — to see it.
I really like the layering of features here. The revolver mechanic feels new but familiar, tying in perfectly with the existing “Le” theme. The gamble element adds genuine excitement, even if it’s not one I’d recommend pressing too often, and the bonus rounds are full of variety, from the standard shootout all the way to that glorious epic feature. What I’d love to see next is Hacksaw bringing the bonus boost function to the UK, because there’s no reason we shouldn’t get access to those small-stake, high-fun options that studios like Elk and Pragmatic already deliver.
Overall, Le Cowboy delivers exactly what fans will expect — danger, humour, and potential chaos, all wrapped in a slick Western design. It can be ruthless, and those who love low-risk, slow-burn slots might find it punishing at times, but for players who thrive on volatility and surprise, it’s a cracking addition to the Hacksaw lineup.
