Game Information
Star Cash is the latest slot to make its way into the 10p Gamer Arcade, and at first glance you’d be forgiven for thinking it’s another Starburst clone. But hang on before you roll your eyes — this one actually brings something new to the table. Built by PureRNG, Star Cash looks and plays a lot like the classic Starburst we all know, but it throws in multipliers, feature-buy mechanics, and some serious win potential that make it a very different beast.

The setup is simple: five reels, three rows, bright gems everywhere, and the familiar expanding wild stars that trigger re-spins. But what sets this apart straight away are those stars themselves. In Star Cash, they don’t just expand — they sometimes carry multipliers. You might land a 2×, 3× or even a 25× multiplier on one of the wilds, and if you get more than one star during the re-spin sequence, the multipliers stack together. That instantly fixes one of the biggest frustrations I’ve always had with Starburst — the lack of real potential.
Now, this is still a demo-stage game in the 10p Gamer Arcade, so bet levels are currently fixed between 1 and 10. The minimum bet I had in the test version was $1, but that could well change once the full release lands in 2025. You can play it normally, or you can activate a special bet mode that guarantees you at least one star per spin for 10 times your stake. There’s also a max option that gives you two guaranteed stars — but it’ll cost 95 times your bet, so it’s effectively a feature buy.

In practice, this mechanic makes for some wild swings. When you’re playing with one guaranteed star, you’ll often see moderate hits with decent multipliers that keep things ticking. But flick that second star option on, and the volatility spikes hard. I had one run where nothing landed at all, followed by a single spin that went absolutely crazy — a 25× multiplier dropping onto the reel and chaining into a 297× win, followed by a re-spin worth another 214×. All told, it ended up around five times my total stake back, which for a slot like this feels just right: volatile, exciting, but not impossible.
The base game itself still holds up nicely too. Multipliers can appear on random stars even without activating the bonus bet, which means you’re not forced to buy your way into the fun. When you do hit something good, it feels earned. And aesthetically, the whole thing is slick — vibrant cosmic visuals, smooth animations, and that hypnotic soundtrack that PureRNG seem to have nailed.

Of course, there are some realities to keep in mind. The reported RTP sits around 95 percent, so it’s not the loosest slot in the galaxy, and that high-risk, high-reward setup means you can easily hit a dry patch before the big cheese lands. But personally, I’ll take a bit of volatility if it means the wins actually feel worth chasing.
What I like most about Star Cash is that it finally gives this type of slot a sense of purpose. For years, Starburst’s ceiling has been a joke — capped wins that barely justify the hype. Star Cash fixes that straight away by introducing stacked multipliers and far greater top-end potential. It’s still a clean, fast-paced, space-themed slot at its core, but now it’s got some proper teeth.
So, is it worth a spin? Absolutely. It’s not reinventing the wheel, but it’s polishing an old classic into something sharper and more rewarding. Keep an eye out for its full release later in 2025 — I suspect it’s not far off, given it’s already playable in the 10p Gamer Arcade. If you’re a fan of realistic, low-stakes gambling with a bit of space-age sparkle, Star Cash is one you’ll definitely want to try when it drops.
