Game Information
Introduction.
Starlight Princess Super Scatter takes one of Pragmatic Play’s most recognisable slots and tweaks it with a single goal in mind. Faster access to free spins. The original Starlight Princess built its reputation on high volatility, stacked multipliers, and explosive bonus rounds. This version keeps that DNA intact while pushing the scatter feature firmly into the spotlight. We have also covered the Starlight Princess Pachi version for a review. You can check that out here.
Instead of reinventing the wheel, Pragmatic Play sharpens it. The Super Scatter mechanic increases the frequency of bonus triggers, making the game feel more active and less stingy. It still delivers dry spells, but they rarely feel endless. For players who loved the original but wanted more action, this version aims to scratch that itch without losing the thrill.
If you are not familiar with Pragmatic Play’s Super Scatter series, the changes are minimal on paper. In reality, they can feel huge. There is just one new symbol added to the game. That is it. But it earns its place very quickly. If you want to see my boss giving this slot a try, you can watch an advert free video right here.
Super Scatters appear alongside regular scatters on the reels. When one lands as part of a bonus trigger, it does not just unlock free spins. It also delivers a hefty instant pay out. One symbol, one tweak, and suddenly the bonus round feels far more exciting.

Visuals and Audio
Visually, the slot sticks closely to the original theme. You get floating platforms, glowing skies, and the magical princess watching over every spin. Colours are soft but vibrant, with win animations that feel satisfying without becoming distracting. Symbol explosions and multiplier drops add a welcome sense of impact.
The audio is light and energetic. The soundtrack ramps up during winning spins and free spins, helping build tension. Sound effects remain crisp and clear, especially when multipliers stack. It never feels overwhelming, even during busy bonus rounds.

Gameplay –
Base Game
The base game uses a pay-anywhere system. Wins land when eight or more matching symbols appear anywhere on the reels. Lower-paying symbols hit more often, while premium gems bring bigger payouts. Random multipliers can drop from above and apply to the entire win. These multipliers stack if more than one appears.
Note that if you land 1 or more scatters, you can not land a multiplier, Same as other pragmatic ‘pay anywhere’ slots. It’s probably my main gripe with these games. You can see a lovely cascade win build up, you’ll cry out for a multi… only for a scatter to rear its head. The excitement dies instantly and sort of ruins that spin. Even if you don’t land it, you just want the chance, to keep the excitement flowing.
Scatter symbols are noticeably more frequent than in the original version. While free spins are never guaranteed, the game gives you regular teases. This keeps the base game engaging so long it doesn’t tease too much, even during quieter stretches.

Bonus Features
The Super Scatter feature defines this slot. Landing four, five, or six scatters triggers the free spins round. You receive 15 free spins. During the bonus, multipliers appear more often and can reach much higher values. All multipliers stack and apply to the total win for that spin.
Retriggers are possible, which helps extend winning sessions. Big pay outs usually come from a single strong spin rather than steady accumulation. When the multipliers line up with premium symbols, wins can escalate very quickly.
As for the super scatters, you can mix and match them alongside regular scatters. For the following, lets say you land the minimum 4 scatters needed. Landing 1 Super Scatter alongside 3 regulars, will award an instant 100x pay out. 2 = 500x, 3= 5000x and 4 Supers awards instant 50,000x. It’s a lacklustre way to max win, but you aren’t going to complain are you.

Final Thoughts
Starlight Princess Super Scatter is a focused upgrade rather than a full overhaul. It keeps the volatility high but improves the overall rhythm of play. The increased scatter presence makes a noticeable difference, especially for bonus hunters.
This slot will not suit cautious players or those chasing consistent small wins. It is built for big swings and sudden paydays. If you enjoyed the original and wanted more bonus action, this version delivers exactly that. Bright, bold, and unapologetically risky.
I have found the super scatters appear in spells. Having played it for real, I hit 2 super scatters, in a round trigger. But I have also played several hundreds spins without landing one too. So don’t be expecting them all the time. Starlight princess is a strange slot. I will play occasionally, but sometimes she can be a little witch. Resulting in a hasty exit. Maybe it’s just too similar to Gates of Olympus.
