Game Information
One of Elk Studios’ biggest drops of 2024, Pirots 3 is the third game in the series – and honestly, it smashed expectations. Not many sequels manage that, but this one did. In true Elk fashion, it’s stacked with features, has a regular bonus and a super bonus, and to be fair… it can take a bit to wrap your head around everything that’s going on. On the 10p Gamer channel, this was the game that kicked off the Super Bonus Challenge series – where the mission was simple: keep coming back until we finally land that rare super bonus.
So, with all the moving parts, crazy mechanics, and random little features popping off – what can you actually expect when you load up Pirots 3?
Collection Meter
Up top, you’ve got the collection meter – basically keeping track of all the gems and wilds the birds hoover up (bandit doesn’t count here, he’s on his own mission). When that meter fills, it chucks out a feature symbol release. You can stack up to 3 of these at once, and when they go off, they all fire together. They’ll trigger before dynamite blows, at the start of free drops, or if the birds have run out of symbols to grab. When they pop, random gems turn into feature symbols – proper handy for building chaos on the grid.
Feature Symbols
This is where things get juicy. The special symbols in Pirots 3 are scatters, wilds, coins, upgrades, transforms, peanuts, keys, and dynamite. Each one does its thing as soon as it’s collected. Quick rundown:
- Upgrade Symbol – levels up the payout for gems of the same colour as the bird that grabbed it. Can go up to level 7.
- Upgrade All – levels up all gems at once, also maxing at 7.
- Key – triggers the bandit escape when nothing else is left to grab. If released, the bandit starts playing like the other birds, fighting duels along the way. Beat all 4 birds, and it kicks off the bandit coin game. Lose, and escape’s over.
- Transform – flips a cluster into the bird’s colour, with a chance of throwing in more feature symbols.
- Peanut – drops peanuts into empty spaces, letting birds cross gaps once.
- Dynamite – big boom. Blows birds and most symbols off the grid, causing a redrop and expanding the board to 8×7. Comes in small and big versions – one clears a patch, the other nukes the lot.
- Wild – classic substitution job, but bandit wilds turn into the highest-paying gem.
- Coin – pays straight cash times your bet. The Max Win coin fills the rest of the gap to max payout.
Coin Game
Clear the whole grid, and boom – you’re in the coin game. Here, coin bags and scorpions drop in while a train pulls up, dropping either birds or the bandit. The collection meter swaps out for a coin win counter. They’ll throw lassos at coin bags, but grab a scorpion and they’re out. It ends when no one’s left standing. If it finishes in normal mode, the game just drops in a fresh set of symbols and birds for another round.
Showdown Feature
When birds can’t grab anything else, two standing side by side might pull a Switcharoo (swapping spots). Sometimes, instead, they’ll kick off a proper Showdown. With 3 or more next to each other, a Showdown is guaranteed. They step apart, clear some symbols, then fire shots in random directions. Gems get wiped, scatters/keys/coins get collected, and dynamite gets lit up. After it’s all said and done, birds redrop and the grid refills.
Train Heist
Keep an eye on the train backdrops down the sides of the grid. If a bird collects on one side and can connect to symbols on the opposite side, you’ve got yourself a Train Heist. Once the bird finishes collecting, a train rolls in, scoops it up, and hands out 1–3 feature symbols before dropping the bird back on the opposite side to carry on collecting.
Bonus Game
Land 3 bonus scatters, and you’re in the bonus – starting with 5 free drops. Pick up extra scatters inside the bonus, and you’ll add +1 free drop each time. Regular bonus plays on your current grid size, but the super bonus upgrades it to 8×7. Both keep your meter progress and gem upgrades going the whole way.

- Bandit Jailbreak – 25x bet for one drop with the bandit escape guaranteed.
